A fragment from the beginning of a letter to Cerialis. The back is blank. The fragments inventoried as 1475b and 1475c (= 800 and 801) may have formed part of this letter.

1-2. In theory line 1 could be restored Flaui]us Ceriali[s and the fragment treated as a draft letter from Cerialis. We have decided against this interpretation, however, since the tops of the letters in the line below could well represent salutem, justified to the right and so not leaving room for a name after Ceriali[s in line 1. There does seem to be some ink before this, but this might come from suo; for suo in this position cf., e.g., 243.
