Tablet 688

description

Inv.no.91.1017. (a) 92 x 20 mm. (b) 92 x 18 mm.
Archaeological data. Location: N. Period: 2.
Two fragments which appear to join physically, but this may be an illusion; it is not certain that both are in the same hand, although there a superficial similarity. The hand of (a) is not elegant but distinctive; the little which can be read of (b) shows several ligatures. The backs are blank.

commentary

a.2. dissicipul appears certain and the doubtful letters before it could be read c̣ọṇ. This suggests we may have a garbled attempt to write some case of condiscipulus.

b. In line 2 we can read qui and in line 3 nisi.
