description

Inv.no.93.1463. 60 x 41 mm.
Archaeological data. Location: SG (bonfire site). Period: 3.
Probably complete at the top; from a right-hand column with possible traces of the ends of a left-hand column visible. Part of the address survives on the back. Written in a competent hand, reminiscent of the hand of 655-657. The language also (contiberni[ in 2 and errat in 4) is reminiscent of these letters.

commentary

1. autẹṃ is possible.

2. The letter before the break is most probably i; therefore a reference to contibernium rather than to contibernales.

4. erraṭ: cf. erratio in 655.A.1. After it noṇ is possible.

Back. The gentilicium may end -ẹṛio, e.g. Valerio. The cognomen is not Priscino.
